Outfit of the Day - 23rd of April, 2013

Based off how long blogger protested before it let me upload these photo's, I'm assuming it's offended by the overexposed nature and the subsequent contrast party that went on to compensate for that.

Regardless, I really liked this outfit, and it takes a while to actually put on (all of the layers). Completely in love with this skirt - my sister bought a dress of the same material, and pretty much the first thing I said about it was "I want a skirt made of that", so hey, wish granted ;) Wasn't even annoyed when my sister asked me (read, made me :P) go back to get her one.

University of Sydney Style - Week 7

So I apparently had some kind of obsession with vintage style hair and floral patterns on the 23rd.... it happens? Again, I find myself apologising for the quality of the photo's, but I think I'm starting to improve... I've begun investigating camera settings (oh, the horror), and I'm starting to get better at choosing better lighting, but I need more practice, so bear with me :)

I adore the attention to detail in Monica's outfit - the tights, sunnies, red lips, and flower in her hair all tie in together, as well as the pearls.

Love the vintage feel, such pretty hair :)
Kimberley in lovely pastel's paired with a striking, darker, floral skirt. Along with the navy shoes, it creates a lovely descent in colour depth.

Fiona, looking absolutely chic. Such a stunning skirt (Unfortunately the combination of shooting inside with shaky hands from excessive caffeine does not lend itself well to cameramanship, so my close up is useless). The green shoes and necklace match the tree's wonderfully, and the beige belt ties it all together nicely.

Luckily, I have since run into Fiona, so I have some shots of her in better lighting in a darling floral dress (I don't get to use the world 'darling' to describe clothing often :P)

Love the casual eclectic feel - it has just the right amount of attitude, and just the right amount of laidback to be perfect.

Sherwin's collar adds just the right edge to her ensemble.
I think I just need to accept the wrath of flash and use it indoor to prevent the hectic graininess. The white spotty shit peeking out with the rounded collar is so cute, and really adds a polished edge to this outfit.

The impact made by the vest portion of the jacket however, is what really makes this outfit - alongside the red lip, which stops  her from being absorbed by such a powerful outfit. Stunning.
Again with the vintage feel :) So gorgeous, just like Sarah stepped out from another decade.

The white fishnets are great, not too sexy, not too innocent. (I'll have to get some :P) Practical and stylish shoes are always a must (can't always wear heels, or ballet flats with a tendency to fly off your foot places)

Such a stunning dress - the neckline is perfect, the collar fantastic, the waistband sits just where it should, and the long, pleated skirt is so feminine and romantic.
And that's it for now... But again, I have more photo's waiting to be posted :) I'm really loving doing this - I get to have interesting (and often hilarious) conversations with interesting people. Likewise, when I approach a girl with her group of friends, I often get to hear them pimp out her style ("Oh, she's hardly dressed up now, you should see her most days" "She always looks fabulous" "She's our fashionista".... as well as a few sarcastic "Oh yeah, I'm her agent, fifty dollars, no, a hundred!"). I love seeing that, it's so heart warming (as well as hilarious) Hope to see you all (and photograph you :P) soon!

Outfit of the Day - 22nd of April, 2013

New pants, which I got at the same time as my navy shirt here. I wish Target had more colours... so hard to find coloured pants that aren't jeans or tights. I'm not wearing anything second hand. Appalling.

White blouse - Supre
Purple pants - Target
Orange Belt - Target (with shirt)
Pleather Jacket - Jay Jays

University of Sydney Style - Week 6

Again I have to apologise for not posting....it's my own damn fault for choosing a biochem major :P Now I can feel guilty about not posting, as well as feeling guilty for not studying! Oh, the joy ;) In all seriousness though, photographing people around campus brightens my day. Everyone is always nice, and I've had many interesting encounters. As I said, brightens my day. And look that even sat perfectly underneath the one before.....creepy.

Seemed to really go for a lot of the hipster chic type thing... it must be the cold weather.

I spotted Claire powering along Eastern Avenue like a woman on a mission. Confidence stands out from a distance like nothing else. Striped pants obviously don't hurt.

Casually photographing crotches because you know, pretty colours. I absolutely adore this outfit - perfect casual but chic.

Saba always looks stylish and stunning, and it's been a pleasure to watch her style develop over the last two years. Love the red (typical of me).

The impact of a simple, coloured coat. Didn't notice until after that it was buttoned off kilter. Not sure if unintentional or intentional nonchalance.

Georgie, in stunning camel pants and that kind of nonchalant chic attitude. Note the mismatched socks, with one matching her jacket, and the other kind of matching her scarf.

Fell in love with the sweater and the socks. So cute :)

Julia, with a stunning trench coat again making a straight-forward outfit that much more chic.

Callie, in an oversized coat, skinny pants, shiny shoes, and a cosy looking beanie.

Nurul, sporting perhaps my favourite sweater ever. So cute :) Likewise, I love the impact made by Nurul wrapping her hair up in a scarf - gives an already chic ensemble a sleek edge.

I love colourful, homemade sweaters (made by Catriona's Mum). Especially one like this, that stands out from so far away - a colourful beacon on an otherwise cold and drab day.

I love Jessie's calf length skirt, so floaty and feminine. The socks and ankle boots, along with the white blouse tie it all together nicely too.

I apologise for the shocking lighting here, I really need to get better with that. Kate is another girl from my degree, and as with Saba, it's been a pleasure to see her sense of style.

I apologise for the odd colouring, but it was either go with a vintage feel, or make the colouring absolutely abysmal. Sorry Kate... next time I see you I'll do a better job :)

And that's it for now... I have photo's from this last week waiting to be posted though, so expect those soonish :) Thanks for your patience, as always, and thanks for reading!

Outfit of the Day - 16th of April 2013

My fringe is far too long right now, but I'm thinking I'll grow it out.... getting rather bored with my hair, despite how much I adore it. One of the many advantages of having a human being photograph you as opposed to using a tripod - genuine smiles in photo's, which is nice :) (thank you :P) Also, I have to admit that it's funny when passerby's make awkward eye contact with me as I'm posing like a douchebag. Anyway, on with it.

Pleather Dress - Glassons (my favourite dress, btw)
Black and White Coat - Sunny Girl (borrowed from my sister)
Red leather belt, black beaded necklace - Vintage from my Mum
